3. Tracking Technologies & Partner Network

Pintap operates a hybrid model using both code-based validation and online performance network integration:

  • Code-Based Matching: Direct coupon validation does not require invasive browser tracking.

  • Online Performance Network Tracking: To offer access to thousands of brand shops, we partner with online performance networks and platforms. When a user interacts with or clicks an outbound recommendation link, these partner networks deploy standard tracking links, cookies, or referral parameters to measure conversions and attribute earned commissions accurately.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

We process data in accordance with Art. 6 GDPR:

  • Contract Performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): To operate your platform account, track recommendations, and calculate payouts.

  • Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): To satisfy statutory tax reporting requirements, including EU platform transparency mandates (DAC7).

  • Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): To protect the network against fraud, prevent link misuse, and guarantee platform stability.

5. Data Recipients & Third-Party Processors

We share data strictly on a need-to-know basis with trusted technology and service partners:

  • Payment Processing: Stripe, Inc. (for secure commission payouts).

  • Online Performance Network Partners: systems for transaction matching and click tracking. Pintap transmits strictly a pseudonymized Sub-ID to attribute sales, ensuring no direct personal identifiers (such as names or email addresses) are shared with partners.

  • Technical Hosting: Cloud infrastructure providers and secure transaction email services.

  • Tax Authorities: Statutory submission of tax and platform data to national tax agencies (e.g., Skatteverket in Sweden, BZSt in Germany).

6. Data Retention

Your data is stored for as long as your Pintap account remains active. Following account deletion, tax-relevant records and transaction logs are retained for statutory retention periods mandated by applicable commercial and fiscal laws (typically up to 10 years).

7. Your Statutory Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, as well as the right to restrict or object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us directly at hello @ pintap.com.
